I’m going to put it on record that this summer has been one of the best I can remember. After a cold spring it has now been consistently warm and sunny for months. The purpose of this blog post is to bank a few memories of the summer of 2013 so I can refer back to them during the cold and drizzly summers that are no doubt in store!

|Campspot at Culra. We did the circuit of Ben Alder, a mix of lovely stalkers paths and vile pushing up steep, pathless hillside. I reckon it might have been quicker and more pleasant as a jog. Next day cycled / pushed out to Kinloch Laggan.|

|Sunny but cold and windy on Afterthought Arete, Stag Rocks. The picture is deceptive because it doesn’t capture the 65 mph gusts or the windchill of -6 C. Hot aches were only narrowly avoided earlier in the day on a rainy Pygmy Ridge.|
